New Employees

Mosdell Pama & Cox Inc would like to welcome and introduce two new appointees to their team in the Knysna offices from 7 January 2016.

Julie Maynard has been appointed as a Candidate Attorney and Nathylia Bruiners as a Personal Assistant in the Wills and Administration of Deceased Estates Department.

Julie obtained her B Com (Law) degree from R.A.U. in 2004 and her LLB degree from the University of Johannesburg in 2006, which she obtained cum laude. Thereafter she obtained a further Higher Diploma in Tax Law from the University of Witwatersrand in 2008.

Prior to joining Mosdell Pama and Cox Inc Julie was employed as a tax consultant by Pricewaterhouse Coopers in Johannesburg for a period of four years. She attended primarily as an International Assignments Specialist advising expatriates working abroad as well as expatriates coming to work in South Africa temporarily on assignment of their tax affairs to avoid issues such as double taxation. Furthermore, she compiled opinions for various companies informing them of the correct taxing procedures for their employees.

Thereafter Julie assisted her husband in the management of his business before their family relocated to Plettenberg Bay in August 2015. She is married and has two children. She enjoys pilates and active running. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and taking her dogs for a walk along the beach. 

 “My primary aim as a candidate attorney is to gain as much experience and knowledge as possible in various areas of the legal proffession, especially in the field of estates and trusts. I am a perfectionist and therefore it is very important to me that the clients feel their needs are being met and that I exceed their expectation.”

Julie and Nathylia will be working closely together and Nathylia will be sharing her experience in deceased estates with Julie.

Nathylia has recently returned to Knysna where she was born and grew up, having matriculated at Knysna Secondary School. Thereafter she attended Tygerberg College and obtained a secretarial qualification before commencing her working career. 

Prior to joining Mosdell Pama and Cox Inc she was employed by FNB in their Estates Department as an administrator of deceased estates. Nathylia has extensive knowledge in the administration of deceased estates as she has been employed in this field exclusively for more than 14 years since 2001, having also worked for ABSA and Sanlam previously in the same division. 

Her experience and prior work duties and competencis include; the reporting of deceased estates to all relevant parties and to manage the estates’ assets and liabilities; managing the distribution of the estate to the heirs in accordance with the last will and testament; and receiving, evaluating and payment of creditors claims and related issues. Nathylia also attends to online completion and payment of relevant tax returns returns via the SARS e-filing system.

In Nathylia’s spare time she takes great joy in reading, cooking, singing and spending time outdoors with family and friends. She is an euthusiastic, hardworking and a decisive person who possesses a high level of integrity. Nathylia also relates to people very well and takes pride in her work quality and client service.
