It may be advisable to apologise and to do so at an early stage. The form of your apology is... important. There is a trend in our legislation and Courts to allow for restorative justice and interaction between affected people. The Courts may adopt a more lenient approach if the apology is made at an early stage.

I’m sure all South Africans have followed the Nkandla case in the Constitutional Court with great interest. I was just... wondering why the matter was heard by the Constitutional Court directly and not by the Supreme Court of Appeal, like the Oscar Pistorius case?
